Activity 1: The Eiffel Tower

In almost every picture of Paris, the Eiffel Tower stands proudly.
This activity is entirely dedicated to France’s most famous symbol.
Together we will discover the special story of the tower, its unique structure, and how it became one of the most visited sites.

When the Eiffel Tower was built, it was the tallest in the world.
It is a strong tower, made of iron, with 3 floors, and is located in the city of Paris in the country of France.
At first, there were many who did not like the idea of building the Eiffel Tower, because it was very different from the rest of the buildings in Paris.
But eventually, it became a beloved symbol for many.
It has very many stairs that can be climbed all the way to the third floor.
The tower is so large that it even has restaurants and shops.
It is recommended to look at the tower through its official website on the internet.

  • Math Riddles:
    • The tower weighs as much as 10,000 family cars combined! If one car weighs about one ton (1,000 kilograms), who can calculate how many tons the entire Eiffel Tower weighs?

    • It has 1,665 stairs from the ground to the top. If you had to climb all of them, how many rest breaks would you take along the way?

  • Creative Construction in the Living Room:
    Creative construction in the living room: Try to build your own model of the Eiffel Tower. You can use blocks, Lego, disposable cups, or even toothpicks and marshmallows. Don’t forget to give it 3 floors!
