The 5 Club
About the Program
The 5 Club, communities of 5-unit mathematics teachers, is a prestigious project of national importance, managed by Range Center at the University of Haifa with the support of the Trump Foundation and in partnership with the Ministry of Education. The project brings together mathematics teachers who teach at the 5-unit level into professional learning communities operating across the country.
Program Goals
- Improving the quality of mathematics instruction and leading teachers to teach using an approach of understanding and creativity.
\(\space\) - Growing professional leadership and lead teachers who intend to manage additional communities.
\(\space\) - Increasing the motivation of both teachers and students to engage with a high academic level.
Community Activities
The communities operate as a professional space that combines research and technology:
- Bi-weekly meetings: A platform for in-depth discussions tailored to regional and school goals.
\(\space\) - Pedagogical development: Emphasis on innovative teaching methods and an inquiry-based approach.
\(\space\) - Comprehensive response: Solutions for learning difficulties alongside the advancement of outstanding students.
